The AC Santo Mauro Hotel reopens today

The long-awaited reopening of the AC Santo Mauro Hotel is finally here. Following its closure during August, the hotel opens again today to be enjoyed by the city’s most sophisticated guests.

The spectacular revamp was entrusted to the acclaimed Spanish interior designer and antiquarian Lorenzo del Castillo.
The lounges of the AC Santo Mauro Hotel now exude a new aura of nobility, sophistication and elegance in the most regal style, with the contemporary twist that only Lorenzo del Castillo can give, achieving a welcoming and harmonious ambience through the perfect combination of antiques with contemporary art and special pieces such as some 1940s wall lights that originally hung in the casino at Antibes, and even objects from the home of decorator Duarte Pinto Coelho, recently purchased at Christie’s auction house in London.

The result is three lounges inspired by the neo-classical mansions of the late 19th century: the Red Lounge, the Chinese Lounge and the Chivas Bar. This last room is decorated in Art Deco style and promises to be the new meeting place for the most sybaritic Madrid residents and visitors.

Each lounge has its own personality and yet perfectly complements the others. Enjoying a drink, a snack or an afternoon tea here this autumn is an absolute must.
